Asia Day 2016: Comedy, Humor & Satire

The University of Pennsylvania’s South Asia Center, Middle East Center, Center for East Asian Studies and Penn Museum invite you to participate in the annual Asia Day on Penn’s Campus. High school educators and their students are eligible to be part of Asia Day 2016. This free one-day event provides high school students with an opportunity to nurture interest in Asia and gain a better understanding of this incredibly varied region. Students will learn about Asian languages and cultures from experts in their respective fields (Penn faculty, graduate students, community members); tour exhibits and galleries in the Penn Museum; taste Pan-Asian cuisine for lunch; participate in interactive performances and activities; and experience a day on Penn's campus!

· Invited schools are responsible for arranging the students' transportation to and from Penn.

· Asia Day is exclusively for high school students, with a limit of 30 students from each school

· Lunch featuring dishes from several Asian culinary traditions is included

· One adult chaperon per 10 students
