Meet the SAC Master Teacher Fellow: Ingrid Diaz

This summer, Ingrid Diaz spent two weeks traveling throughout India and Nepal as the Master Teacher in Global Education Fellow, a fellowship that is in its third year and still evolving.

Ingrid is an immigrant from the Dominican Republic who has worked in education for over a decade. Over this time she has been awarded three masters in various areas of education, has traveled globally, and has spread her knowledge to places like China, India, and Nepal.

When asked about traveling to India, Ingrid said that “traveling …was a privilege because it gave me the opportunity to bring new perspectives to the classroom and to share ideas with other traveling colleagues who share similar interests.” She feels that education is the strongest tool which allows people to persevere through anything, and she believes that everyone should be given that tool. Therefore, she feels proudest of the work she has done for the School District of Philadelphia, where she has worked for over fifteen years.
