SAC Welcomes New Associate Director and Assistant Director

Penn's South Asia Center would like to welcome two new staff members to our team!    Rachelle Faroul (left), SAC's new Associate Director, plans to help the center diversify funding strategies and expand its impact. Rachelle is excited to launch a coding program geared at linking aspiring women tech students in India and women tech students at Penn. This program, and others like them, promise to expand SAC's engagement in STEM fields both on campus and abroad.   Amelia Carter (right), the new Assistant Director, has been working closely with SAC for three years as a coordinator for the C.U. in India and Southeast Asia program. She brings a wealth of Penn knowledge, passion for South Asia and outreach experience to her new role. Amelia looks forward to expanding Alumni engagement around student mentorship, public service and the arts. She plans to travel to South Asia in the spring of 2017 to network with alumni and understand how Penn students and SAC can better support Alumni organizations, businesses and initiatives both locally and internationally. If you would like to connect with her, please reach out!
