Ellys Sabet is a rising senior majoring in biology and minoring in South Asian Studies, religious studies, and chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania. Ellys is the Communication Assistant of the Penn South Asia Center, a National Resource Center of the United States Department of Education. He is passionate about maintaining and sharing his Afghan heritage through his learning and performing of the Afghan rubab, as well as bringing awareness of the country's culture to the student population in Philadelphia. He hopes to pursue further education by applying to law school and focus on international humanitarian law while still holding these ideals.
