Artist Residency Concludes in Germantown

C.P. Krishnapriya and Narendran Kumar, South Asia Center's artists in residence, concluded their work with SAC by installing their final exhibition at iMPeRFeCT Gallery in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. They conducted a workshop with students from Germantown Friends School and Chestnut Hill College, and hosted a well received opening reception.

The student workshop was part of the South Asia Center's K-12 outreach program and exposed students to new concepts about Indian history and culture through lecture, discussion, and exploration of the artists' work.

The following night, Krishnapriya and Narendran's art was made open to the public, and community members from UPenn and Germantown showed up in support. Over the course of the evening more than 120 people came out to see the exhibition and about 20 contributed scar stories to the artists' film project being shot on site.
