The South Asia Center The South Asia Center is a Title VI National Resource Center (NRC) for South Asia at University of Pennsylvania, one of five Title VI centers at Penn and one of nine South Asia National Resource Centers nationwide. Penn has received nearly continuous funding for the study of South Asia from the US government since the 1950s, first receiving grants from the US Department of Defense and then from the US Department of Education.
