FLAS INFORMATION SESSION

Join us for an Information Session on the U.S. Department of Education's Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship Program. FLAS Fellowships are awarded by Penn's FLAS and National Resource Centers (Africa, Middle East, East Asia, and South Asia) to undergraduate and graduate students to study a modern language from these regions. FLAS Fellows are provided with a tuition award and living stipend to study their language either domestically or abroad.

Graduate Students award: $18,000 in tuition credits and $15,000 stipend.

Undergrad award: $10,000 in tuition credits and $5,000 stipend.

Undergraduate and graduate students interested in applying for the FLAS Fellowship for Summer 2019 and Academic Year 2019-2020 are invited to attend.

Representatives from Penn's FLAS and National Resource Centers will be on hand to discuss the fellowship and to answer questions. Penn Abroad will speak on how to apply for semester abroad opportunities and where you may use your FLAS Fellowship abroad.

Light refreshments will be served.
