We are so pleased to welcome our new Outreach Coordinator, Sharifa Halimi to the South Asia Center!
Sharifa has most recently come to us from working in behavioral health, and has previously worked with Penn programs like Upward Bound and served as a pre-k teacher for Penn's Children Center. She has an educational background in Early Childhood Education and Mental Health Counseling from both Temple and Penn. Sharifa also has extensive experience with non-profits in Philadelphia, including Afghans of Philadelphia (aopxsola) in which she serves as president.
We are looking forward to all Sharifa will bring to the center. We encourage students, faculty and staff to reach out or stop by to say hello!
