India has become one of the world’s most vital centers of innovation. Its growth will only accelerate in the years ahead, with critical implications for academics, policymakers, and business and government leaders.

Penn will host a major interdisciplinary conference this fall to assess the present and future of innovation in India, especially in business, law, public services, and urban planning. We will bring together academic experts with global business and government leaders to advance our understanding of innovation in India, its successes and challenges, and its implications for world affairs.

This event will be a cornerstone of Penn’s engagement with India and its global initiatives for 2013. It will take place on Penn’s campus in Philadelphia on November 14-15, 2013, with a half-day session at the Wharton School’s San Francisco campus on November 18 focusing specifically on innovation in business and law.

We hope you will join us at this major effort to set the agenda for the future of innovation in India, while learning from the lessons of its past.
