Join us for a discussion with award winning independent journalist and Pulitzer Center grantee, Sushmita. Indigenous communities in developing countries are at great risk from climate related disasters. While they remain at grave threats from these incidents, marginalization due to structural issues further impedes their access to adaptation and more. Moreover, many of these countries are in the process of transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy, but the ideas of justice and equity are yet to be enshrined in some of these processes. This is a crucial juncture to know and understand how to report stories that place communities at center while reporting on climate change.
