SASLI 2023 Applications Due March 15!

The South Asia Summer Language Institute (SASLI) invite all interested in studying a South Asian language to check out the promotional flyer (above) and to visit their webpage to learn about the application process and funding opportunities

Please note that SASLI FLAS applications are due February 14, and the WISLI Tuition Scholarship and the Half/Full Fee Remission applications are due March 1. Please direct all inquiries to sasli@lpo.wisc.edu.

SASLI is equivalent to one year's worth of language study during the academic year. SASLI offers the first- and second-year study of modern South Asian languages and Sanskrit, as well as the third-year study of Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu.

SASLI scholars earn 8 UW-Madison credits, two transcript letter grades, and a certificate of speaking proficiency, and they are prepared for subsequent training domestically and abroad. 

SASLI is currently sponsored by a consortium of National Resource Centers for South Asia and FLAS-granting Centers for South Asian languages, funded by the Department of Education. More details here.
