The American Institute of Pakistan Studies is calling for abstract submissions for their Emerging Scholars Symposium! The due date is July 15th, 2022.
Every two years, AIPS hosts an Emerging Scholars of Pakistan Studies Symposium (previously known as the AIPS Junior Scholars Conference) in conjunction with the Annual Conference on South Asia. Graduate Students who are enrolled in a PhD program in a US academic institution and have ABD status are encouraged to apply. Post-Doctoral candidates who completed their PhD in or after 2017 are also eligible. AIPS will fund travel, lodging, and per diem for all awardees.
This half-day symposium will take place on Thursday, October 20 during the Annual Conference on South Asia in Madison, WI. It showcases the new research being done by approximately six to eight junior scholars in the field of Pakistan Studies. AIPS identifies senior scholars who will read the accepted papers and provide feedback, mentorship, and guided discussion after the presentations.
