Programming Cosponsorship Request

Cosponsorship and Funding Request Form

The South Asia Center is a National Resource Center of the US Department of Education. Our mission is to enhance the study of South Asia at Penn (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives) and within the wider community. The Center supports faculty and student research, conferences, curriculum development, outreach, and other activities and events related to modern and pre-modern South Asia. The Center connects scholars with interests in South Asia across the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Penn’s professional schools, and beyond. We are unable to fund proposals that do not include significant South Asia content, as defined above. If you have questions about the suitability of your program, please contact us prior to submitting your proposal.

Your submission should include: contact information, proposal, budgetadministrative and logistical needs, and other key details outlined in the application. Proposals range from small one-off events and projects to larger scale programs and events. If we agree to fund your project, we will require a short report describing the results, participation, and significance of the event/ program. We encourage the inclusion of online and/or recorded components as an element of all public events.
