Learn about study abroad in Sri Lanka! ISLE Program representative Hannah Durham will be on campus to answer all your questions.

The Intercollegiate Sri Lanka Education (ISLE) Program is a unique study abroad program for students with interests in various aspects of South Asian cultures and societies.  The semester-long program combines cultural immersion with academic study and research to give students the tools to navigate Sri Lanka as cultural insiders. ISLE encourages each student to pursue his or her own academic interests through a combination of elective courses taught by professors from the University of Peradeniya, volunteer experiences, and an independent study project. In addition to academic study, students live with home stay families and cultivate relationships with locals and university students as they study spoken Sinhala and/or Tamil languages. The fusion of classroom and real-world exposure to Sri Lanka allows for a rich and transformative experience.
